So excited to have narrated Lauren Oliver’s debut adult thriller. I voice Kate Willis, a consultant for the University of Virginia's Division of Perceptual Studies, (which actually exists) who discovers a surprising personal link to the case of a 6-year-old girl who alleges that she has memories of a past life. Suspense, twists and turns, a little paranormal psychology. This book compelled me down the rabbit hole of researching reincarnation after narrating it.

SO EXCITED TO BE AN AUDIE FINALIST FOR THIS EPIC MIDDLE GRADE FANTASY SERIES BY KATHRYN BUTLER!!

The next Wings of Fire title is on the way!! Release date March 3rd from Scholastic Audio. Since I get to read it first, I can say, IT’S AMAZING!!

McManus portrays each character dramatically, creating distinct personalities that modulate seamlessly between indignation, arrogance, and childlike wonder.

ALL ABOUT IT

I'm all about telling stories. I love it. I began my acting career at Hickory Community Theatre while still in high school. (Sliding down a fireman's pole will always be my preferred way to the dressing room.) I earned a degree in Communications and the Performance of Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My next adventure took me around the world as a flight attendant for World Airways. The years I spent traveling broadened my perspective, brought me lifelong friends and some crazy stories. My passion for acting grounded me in Washington D.C. where I attended the esteemed conservatory program at The Studio Theatre. That's where it all came together for me.

My craft is founded in theatre, in realism, in the words.

Eventually, my journey brought me to LA where I continued my professional training at Stan Kirsch Studios, UCB, and with Jack Stehlin and Alfred Molina at New American Theatre. Then came audiobooks, the perfect fit for a stage loving lit geek like me.

Now I'm back in the gorgeous Southern Appalachians recording audiobooks from my home studio. Clients include Penguin Random House, Harper Audio, Scholastic Audio, Brilliance, Simon and Schuster Audio, Recorded Books/Tantor, Podium and Audible. So far I've recorded over 300 audiobooks in genres ranging from literary fiction to memoir, mystery, middle grade fantasy, young adult and romance.

When I'm not recording, I'm baking, hiking or chasing after the most adorable little girl in the whole universe.

THANKS Y'ALL!
